Job Description

As a Works Manager, your role is crucial in overseeing the daily operations of the workshop at a Tata Motors dealership. Your primary focus will be on ensuring high service quality, maintaining customer satisfaction, and achieving business targets. Your strong leadership skills, technical background in commercial vehicle servicing, and expertise in CRM software are essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Workshop Operations Management: - Supervise daily workshop operations for smooth and efficient service delivery. - Plan and allocate work to service advisors, technicians, and support staff. - Monitor service turnaround time (TAT) and take corrective actions as necessary. - Ensure adherence to Tata Motors service processes, SOPs, and quality standards. - Manage spare parts inventory to ensure necessary components' availability. - Customer Satisfaction & Service Quality: - Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction through superior service delivery. - Efficiently address customer complaints and provide effective resolutions. - Implement customer follow-up mechanisms to enhance service experience. - Conduct service campaigns, AMC, and customer retention programs. - Team Management & Training: - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of service advisors, supervisors, mechanics, and technicians. - Conduct regular training sessions on new technologies and Tata Motors' guidelines. - Evaluate team performance and take necessary steps for improvement. - Compliance & Safety: - Ensure strict compliance with Tata Motors policies, dealership standards, and regulatory norms. - Business & Revenue Growth: - Achieve revenue and profitability targets for the workshop. - Drive service campaigns, upselling of spare parts, and develop customer retention strategies. - Reporting & Documentation: - Maintain detailed records of service operations, productivity, and expenses. - Prepare and submit performance reports to the management. - Ensure proper documentation for warranty claims, service history, and audits. Key Requirements: - Education & Experience: - Diploma/Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering. - Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Tata Motors Commercial Vehicle dealership. - Skills & Competencies: - Strong command over CRM software and MS Office. - Excellent leadership, team management, and technical expertise in commercial vehicle servicing. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. - Good communication skills in Hindi and English.
