Workday Business Analyst (BA)

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Gathering

  : Work closely with finance, IT, and other business units to gather, document, and analyze requirements for financial planning, reporting, and analytics.

• Business Process Analysis:

  Apply extensive experience in the banking sector to understand and translate business needs into functional requirements for

  Workday Accounting Center, Prism, and Adaptive Planning

  .

• Banking Sector Expertise

  : Leverage industry knowledge to align Workday tools with the specific regulatory and operational needs of the banking environment.

• Solution Recommendations:

  Provide insights and recommendations on how to best configure and leverage Workday systems to meet specific financial and analytical needs.

• Data Integration Oversight

  : Partner with engineers to ensure accurate and timely data integration across Workday modules and third-party systems.

• Reporting & Analytics

  : Support the design and implementation of reports and dashboards in Adaptive and Prism. Assist end-users in using OfficeConnect and web-based reporting tools.

• Training & Support

  : Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to Workday end-users.

• Testing & QA

  : Coordinate and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), validate system changes, and ensure quality delivery.

• Continuous Improvement

  : Stay informed of Workday feature updates and recommend process or configuration enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a

  Workday Business Analyst

  , preferably in a

  banking or financial services

  environment.
• Familiarity with

  Workday Accounting Center

  ,

  Prism Analytics

  , and

  Adaptive Planning

  from a functional/business perspective.
• Strong understanding of

  Workday HCM

  and its applications in a business context.
• Experience working closely with Workday technical teams on

  data integrations

  and system enhancements.
• Proficient in building or supporting

  Workday reports

  and using

  OfficeConnect

  for financial reporting.
• Proven ability to translate complex business needs into clear functional requirements.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in Workday implementation projects
• Workday certifications in Financials, Adaptive Planning, or Reporting
• Familiarity with SQL and data validation processes
