WordPress Performance Optimization Expert (Short-Term Project)

We are looking for a skilled WordPress performance expert to audit and optimize our website for speed, stability, and overall performance.

Our site currently faces performance issues such as slow load times, inefficient caching, large JS/CSS files, and inconsistent Core Web Vitals. We already have an initial list of problem areas, but we want someone who can perform a complete audit, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions that deliver measurable improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a full website performance audit
• Identify and fix issues affecting site speed and stability
• Optimize page load times across desktop and mobile
• Improve caching, CDN setup, and script handling
• Minify and optimize JS/CSS and images
• Resolve layout shifts (CLS) and enhance Core Web Vitals
• Provide a before-and-after performance report

Requirements:

• Proven experience optimizing WordPress websites for speed and performance
• Strong understanding of Core Web Vitals and PageSpeed Insights metrics
• Experience with tools such as GTmetrix, Lighthouse, and WebPageTest
• Familiarity with caching plugins and CDNs (Cloudflare, WP Rocket, LiteSpeed, etc.)
• Ability to deliver quick, effective, and measurable improvements
