WordPress Full-Stack Developer

Overview

We are looking for a skilled WordPress Full-Stack Developer to build our corporate website from scratch and maintain it long-term. You will play a key role in creating a professional, responsive, and high-performance website that reflects our brand, engages clients, and supports business growth. Ideal for someone eager to grow, take on new challenges, and bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a corporate website using WordPress (Elementor + custom coding).
• Install, configure, and set up WordPress from scratch (server setup, DNS, SSL, hosting).
• Develop and customise themes and plugins, ensuring scalability and functionality.
• Implement responsive, mobile-first designs with pixel-perfect accuracy from Figma/Adobe XD.
• Integrate third-party APIs and tools (CRM, analytics, chatbots, payment gateways, forms).
• Optimise website performance, speed, and security (CDN, caching, firewall, malware protection).
• Apply SEO best practices, including schema, headings, meta descriptions, and plugin setup.
• Conduct regular maintenance: backups, updates, bug fixes, uptime monitoring, and adding new features.
• Deploy the website from staging to the live environment, including DNS verification, redirects, and error handling.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the CMS is intuitive and scalable for content updates.
• Support the development and maintenance of custom landing pages and promotional microsites on global marketing platforms.
• Monitor website analytics and campaign performance; create detailed reports and suggest actionable improvements.
• Create, update, and maintain website content, ensuring alignment with marketing goals and SEO strategies.

What Were Looking For

We're looking for candidates with a combination of the following:

• 2 - 5 years of WordPress development experience, preferably with corporate/B2B websites.
• Strong expertise in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Proficiency in Elementor Pro and experience in custom theme and plugin development.
• Familiarity with Headless WordPress + Next.js (for future scalability) is a plus.
• Understanding of server, hosting, SSL, and DNS setup, including cPanel, FTP, or cloud hosting (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience in SEO, analytics tools, and performance optimisation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues across front-end, back-end, and server.
• Excellent communication skills, multitasking ability, and availability in the Australia Time Zone (11 AM8 PM AEST).
• Long-term commitment and the ability to meet strict project timelines.
• Optional: Figma/graphic design skills to implement UI/UX concepts.
