WordPress Engineer

Job Description: As a WordPress Engineer at BuyerForesight, you will be responsible for managing and evolving the WordPress infrastructure. Your role will primarily focus on backend development, optimization, custom plugin and theme creation, and system-level integration. While the design team handles page-building and UI, you will ensure performance, structure, and backend logic. It is desirable to have experience with frontend frameworks and some exposure to Express.js. Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance WordPress sites. - Develop and customize themes and plugins to meet business needs. - Implement and manage advanced form functionality and integrations. - Optimize site performance including database queries, caching, and asset delivery. - Ensure code quality, reusability, and proper documentation. - Support the design team by enabling backend functionalities for the pages they build. - Integrate third-party APIs and Express.js-based services where needed. - Manage site deployments, staging environments, and production releases. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across plugins, integrations, and code. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience). - 2-5 years of experience as a WordPress Engineer or in a similar technical role.
