As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for developing custom WordPress themes and plugins, maintaining and updating existing websites, and optimizing website performance for speed and SEO. You will collaborate with the design team to implement attractive and functional websites, troubleshoot and resolve website issues promptly, and integrate third-party tools and APIs as needed. Additionally, you will ensure cross-browser compatibility, mobile responsiveness, and provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing websites. Key Responsibilities: - Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch or modify existing ones. - Maintain and update existing WordPress websites to ensure optimal performance. - Optimize website performance for speed and SEO. - Implement website security best practices to protect against threats. - Collaborate with the design team to implement attractive and functional websites. - Troubleshoot and resolve website issues promptly. - Integrate third-party tools and APIs as needed. - Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness. - Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing websites. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Proven experience as a WordPress developer (portfolio required). - Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and jQuery. - Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and database management. - Hands-on experience with WordPress themes, templates, and plugin development. - Familiarity with page builders like Elementor, WP Bakery, or similar tools. - Strong understanding of website architecture, user experience, and aesthetics. - Experience with version control systems like Git. - Working knowledge of SEO best practices for WordPress. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex development and design issues. - Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. - Experience working with WooCommerce and other e-commerce integrations. - Familiarity with REST APIs and GraphQL. - Knowledge of modern development tools like Sass, LESS, and Webpack. - Familiarity with security plugins and optimization tools (e.g., Wordfence, WP Rocket). - Experience with website hosting, domain management, and basic server administration. Qualification: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
