About the Role

We are looking for a talented WordPress Backend Developer to manage and scale Netcore’s corporate website – the digital front door for our global brand. In this role, you will ensure our website is fast, secure, scalable, and optimized for performance. You will collaborate with marketing, product, and design teams to build a seamless, enterprise-grade digital experience.

Note: Candidates with an marketing agency background who have handled multiple websites and high-performance WordPress environments will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimize custom WordPress plugins and themes for marketing and product needs.
Manage website infrastructure, database architecture, and server-side performance for high-traffic environments.
Implement and manage APIs, third-party integrations, and headless WordPress setups.
Ensure website security, compliance, and uptime monitoring.
Optimize performance using advanced caching strategies (Redis, Memcached, CDN).
Collaborate with marketing, design, and SEO teams to launch landing pages, tracking setups, and analytics.
Conduct regular site audits, debugging, and troubleshooting.
Maintain proper documentation, Git workflows, and CI/CD deployment pipelines.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Backend WordPress Developer for large-scale or agency-driven websites.
Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, WordPress core, and custom plugin development.
Hands-on experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) plugin.
Experience with REST API and headless CMS integrations.
Strong knowledge of security best practices (firewalls, SSL, vulnerability testing).
Expertise in website performance optimization for enterprise-level traffic.
Familiarity with SEO-friendly architecture and analytics integrations.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Nice-to-Have

Exposure to frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue.js) for headless WordPress implementations.
