Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled WordPress Backend Developer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress-based web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in PHP, MySQL, REST APIs, and plugin/theme development, with a deep understanding of WordPress architecture and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Work on backend architecture — ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Integrate third-party APIs and build custom REST APIs for internal use.
• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software for strong optimization and functionality.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and designers to implement new features.
• Optimize database queries and site performance (caching, load time, etc.).
• Conduct code reviews and ensure coding standards are met.
• Manage WordPress environments (staging, production) and version control (Git).

Required Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of proven experience as a WordPress Developer (backend focus).
• Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, OOP (Object-Oriented Programming).
• Experience with WordPress core, themes, and plugin architecture.
• Knowledge of RESTful API integration and custom API development.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3 (for backend–frontend collaboration).
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Understanding of WordPress security best practices.
• Experience with caching, performance optimization, and database tuning.
• Familiarity with Composer, WP-CLI, and server environments (cPanel, AWS, etc.) is a plus.
