Windows OS L1 Support

• Basic Windows Server management and troubleshooting skills
• L1 (1-3yrs experience) of all activities mentioned for L2 Windows server administration Skills
• Perform 24 X 7 monitoring of all the servers, for the following parameters by polling the servers at pre-defined intervals as agreed with customer during on-boarding phase
• Availability of the server
• File System / Partition Utilization as applicable
• Memory utilization
• Processor utilization
• Monitor critical services related to operating systems
• Creation / Deletion / Modification of User ID, Group ID, Contacts
• Password Changes
• Monitoring of the Active Directory Services
• Incident / Request fulfilment / Change management

Windows Server Administration

• Create, modify and delete network shares
• Assign and maintain user access rights as per policies defined and agreed upon with the Customer
• Assign and maintain space usage restrictions
• Configure and maintain print servers and print queues
• Maintain and administer DNS, DHCP, NFS, NIS, DFS roots, and group policy
• Restore server operating system in the event of a crash using backup tools as provided by customer or proposed as part of solution
• Resolve server problems like system hang, hard disk crash, with OEM support wherever required
• Update patches through the customer provided centralized patch management system and manually wherever required
• Perform periodic system performance tuning as per Customers policy
• Manage and adhere to security Policy for user level access defined
• Maintaining Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy

Widows OS L3

• Support L1 and L2 team members and handle complex and critical issues
• Ensure systems are always available
• Suggest and develop automations for routine activities

• Maintaining and reconfiguring Active Directory services
• Preparation of RCA for Major Incidents
• Repeat Incident / Alert Analysis
• Performance tuning suggest by OEM
• Update and maintenance of Availability, Capacity management
• Planning and execution of DR Drills based on availability of DR setup and recovery procedures
• Preparing, maintaining and updating of SOP and KBase
• Maintaining and updating of Infra AS IS / Infra Documents
• Troubleshoot SSO issues - ADFS/Azure SSO Integrations
• Azure application integrations

Tools and Technology

• Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2022, Active Directory
• Understanding / Certification of any Cloud platforms and Technologies like AWS & Azure
• Knowledge of Monitoring, Patching and Automation tools like SCOM, SCCM, Ansible, Scripting

Certification

• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
• Secondary - AWS or Azure Fundamental, Practitioner, Solution Architect . Admin Certifications
