Responsibilities

• Server Management: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot server infrastructure, including Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware).
  • Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve complex server-related issues, including performance degradation, hardware failures, and software conflicts, IIS, FTP, SFTP, AD, DHCP, DNS, QSAN.• Maintenance and Upgrades: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as patch management, firmware updates, and disk space management.• Security and Compliance: Ensure server security and compliance with organizational policies and industry standards, including server hardening, access controls, and monitoring logs.• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, such as network, storage, and application teams, to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve complex technical issues.• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of server configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and maintenance activities.• Problem Management: Identify and document root causes of server-related issues and propose preventive measures to minimize future occurrences.• Communication: Provide timely and effective communication to stakeholders, including IT teams, management, and end-users, regarding server maintenance, outages, and issues.
