Wind Resource Analyst

As an Energy Yield Assessment Engineer at ENGIE Energy India Private Limited, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing Energy Yield Assessment (EYA) reports. Your role will involve conducting pre-feasibility studies and site assessments to determine suitable met-mast locations for wind energy projects. In addition, you will design and develop wind farm layouts, taking into account various factors such as wind patterns, terrain characteristics, and environmental impact. Analyzing raw wind data, including wind speed and direction, will be a crucial part of your job to evaluate the potential power generation of wind energy systems. You will support new unit and service proposals by performing Wind Resource Assessments (WRA), Annual Energy Production assessments, and noise propagation assessments. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing options to enhance project efficiency and productivity. In this role, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of WRA methods to ensure speed, productivity, and accuracy. This will involve collecting and analyzing wind data from different sources such as meteorological towers, remote sensing devices, and historical weather data. Your attention to detail will be essential in ensuring the accuracy and quality of wind data through thorough cleansing and validation processes. Furthermore, you will be required to develop site-specific wind turbine layouts and configurations based on engineering analyses of wind resources at potential project sites. Your ability to deliver comprehensive reports and presentations will play a vital role in supporting decision-making processes and project development. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical documentation, including reports and manuals.
