Job Description: As a Wi-Fi Software Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in investigating, debugging, and root causing Wi-Fi software system and protocol issues reported by customers and internal QA teams. Your responsibilities will include reproducing reported issues in internal test environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams, analysing system logs and packet captures, and maintaining internal tools for diagnostics and automated test triage. Additionally, you will document findings, resolutions, and best practices to contribute to our internal knowledge base. You will also work on optimizing software to enhance system performance and power efficiency while adhering to project processes for smooth execution of deliverables. To excel in this role, you must possess excellent C programming skills with a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms. Knowledge of operating system fundamentals, RTOS, ARM Cortex series, Linux/Unix platforms, software debugging and tracing tools, and profiling and optimization of embedded software is essential. Your problem-solving ability, communication skills, and familiarity with continuous integration and version control tools will be key to delivering quality results. Knowledge of Python for scripting/automation is considered an advantage. Ideally, you should have 4-8 years of experience in Wi-Fi/embedded firmware development and commercialization, with a background in developing embedded protocol software for a resource-constrained real-time environment. A qualification of B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech/M.E in Computers is required for this role.,
