Welder

As a Welder, you will operate specialized equipment to fuse metal parts together, building and repairing structures according to blueprints and specific project requirements. Your expertise in various welding techniques and commitment to safety will be vital in ensuring the strength and precision of all completed work.  Key Responsibilities Welding & Fabrication: Perform manual and semi-automatic welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Arc/Stick, Flux-Cored) in various positions (flat, vertical, or overhead) to join and repair metal components. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan layouts and procedures accurately. Material Preparation: Cut, measure, shape, and prepare metal parts for welding using power saws, grinders, and torches, ensuring surfaces are clean and free of rust or grease. Quality Control: Inspect and test welded surfaces and structures for flaws, defects, or adherence to tight tolerances, ensuring all work meets quality standards and safety compliance. Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operate and maintain welding machines, hand tools, lifting devices (e.g., cranes, forklifts), and other related machinery in a safe and efficient manner. Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines, protocols (e.g., OSHA standards), and use appropriate protective equipment, such as face shields, heat-resistant gloves, and safety shoes. Collaboration: Coordinate and communicate effectively with other team members, including project managers, engineers, and general laborers, to ensure project completion on time.
