Location: ON Site : Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd, Mumbai Department: Production / Outfitting / HVAC / Ducting Reporting To: Site Supervisor / Project Engineer Job Summary:

We are hiring skilled and certified Welders for our site at Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd. The role includes performing welding operations on ship structures, piping, and outfitting components as per project drawings and quality standards. Candidates with prior experience in welding related to marine HVAC ducting systems will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding activities such as SMAW, MIG/MAG, TIG, or FCAW based on project needs.
• Carry out structural welding, pipe welding, or duct welding as per specifications.
• Read and understand welding symbols and engineering drawings.
• Prepare surfaces and joints before welding, including grinding, cleaning, and fitting.
• Follow welding procedure specifications (WPS) and maintain quality standards.
• Assist in the fabrication and installation of HVAC ducting systems (if experienced).
• Conduct visual inspection of completed welds and ensure defect-free work.
• Use and maintain welding tools and equipment properly.
• Adhere to all safety and PPE guidelines at the workplace.

Eligibility Criteria:

• ITI Welder (Gas & Electric) or equivalent trade certification.
• Minimum 2-3 years of welding experience, preferably in shipbuilding or heavy fabrication industry.
• Ability to work from fabrication drawings and welding procedure documents.
• Familiar with different types of welding techniques and positions.
• Physically fit and willing to work in demanding conditions, including confined spaces.

Additional Advantage:

• Experience in shipyard HVAC duct welding or marine outfitting.
• Certification in 3G/4G/6G welding positions is an added benefit.
• Previous experience in Mazagon Dock or similar shipbuilding units is desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
