Job Description – Safety Supervisor Position Title: Safety Supervisor Department: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Location: Mumbai / Pan India Experience Required: 2–5 Years (or as per requirement) Qualification: · Diploma in Industrial Safety / Fire & Safety / HSE · B.Sc / B.Tech in any discipline with safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH/IOSH/OSHA preferred) Salary Range: ₹18,000 – ₹30,000 per month (based on experience and certification) Reporting To: HSE Manager / Project Safety Head Key Responsibilities: · Monitor compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) policies, company standards, and statutory safety regulations at site. · Conduct daily toolbox talks , safety briefings, and awareness programs for workers and staff. · Perform routine site inspections , hazard identification , and risk assessments ; ensure all corrective actions are implemented. · Investigate accidents, near-miss incidents, and unsafe acts; submit detailed reports with root cause analysis and preventive measures. · Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all site personnel. · Deliver safety induction and job-specific safety training sessions for new and existing employees. · Maintain and update all safety documentation including: o Site safety inspection reports o Safety meeting records o Training attendance sheets o Incident logs and safety observation reports · Coordinate with project managers, site engineers , and department heads to implement safety practices. · Report site safety performance, issues, and improvements to the HSE Manager on a regular basis. · Take strict action on non-compliance with safety procedures and enforce disciplinary measures when needed. · Continuously monitor work activities and site conditions to identify and eliminate hazards . Required Skills & Competencies: · Sound knowledge of construction safety practices, OSH standards, and local safety regulations. · Good observation, documentation, and reporting skills. · Ability to handle incident response and conduct safety drills. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with workers and site teams. · Proficiency in MS Excel and report formatting (for safety logs & data).
