Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine layout and welding requirements.
Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding machines.
Prepare metal parts by cleaning, cutting, and shaping materials as needed before welding.
Align and fit metal components together to ensure accurate welding.
Monitor welding processes to ensure proper penetration and avoid defects.
Inspect finished welds for integrity and adherence to specifications using tools like gauges and visual inspections.
Perform repair work on metal components as required, utilizing appropriate welding techniques.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and regulations.
Collaborate with other team members, engineers, and supervisors to meet project deadlines.
Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used and hours worked.
Participate in ongoing training and skills development to stay updated on new welding techniques and technologies.
