Role: Web Development Intern (Shopify Focus)

Role Description

We’re looking for a Web Development Intern with a basic understanding of web technologies and an interest in Shopify. You will assist our development team in building and maintaining client websites, especially on the Shopify platform. This internship is ideal for someone who wants hands-on experience in real-world web development projects with guidance and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in setting up and customizing Shopify stores

Support front-end tasks using HTML and CSS

Help upload products, organize categories, and manage store layouts

Collaborate with designers and developers to turn ideas into functional sites

Test websites on various devices for responsiveness

Ensure basic SEO and speed best practices are followed

Maintain records of updates and edits

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS

Interest in learning Shopify and eCommerce development

Comfortable with website layouts and visual design basics

Eagerness to learn and take initiative

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Detail-oriented and able to follow instructions carefully

Bonus Skills (Good to Have)

Familiarity with Canva or Figma

Basic knowledge of how websites work (e.g., domain, hosting, CMS)

Previous college or personal projects related to web design
