Job Description

As a Process Developer/Management Trainee/Assistant Manager for US Domestic and Global Trades at Genpact, your primary responsibility will be trade support, settlement, and processing. You should have a sound understanding of the trade lifecycle from custody to broker to client. Your role involves loading, matching, and settling trade activities, as well as following up with custodians, brokers, and clients to resolve unmatched trades and handling claims from counterparties. **Key Responsibilities:** - Experience with US Domestic Trade Life-cycle is desirable. - Good understanding of financial products like Bonds, Mutual Funds, MBS, SWAPS, Equities, Stock Lending, and Derivatives is required. - Managing the end-to-end clearing and settlement process for US Domestic Trades, ensuring smooth and timely market settlement of securities and cash transfers between the bank and its counterparty. - Supporting interfaces with different internal and external stakeholders involved in the clearing and settlement process chain, according to market standards. - Assisting with trade support activities like trade rebooking, Recall and returns, and manual call-in of return as per the agreed procedure. - Communicating with brokers and custodians to settle trades in a timely manner, investigating trades for any discrepancies, and reaching out to respective teams/brokers for necessary corrections. - Applying problem-solving and investigative techniques to trade booking/flow issues. - Establishing a strong relationship with onshore counterparts such as custodians, brokers, and client trading desks. **Qualifications:** **Minimum qualifications:** - Any Graduate (PG an added advantage). - Effective probing and root cause analysis skills. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Relevant work experience in an Associate role is a must. - Previous experience in a middle/back office in a financial services firm. This role requires good knowledge of MS Excel, exposure around audits (internal and external), and a strong understanding of the Risk and Control framework. Experience with applications like Global Plus, AddVantage, and Trust Desk applications would be an added advantage. If you have an understanding around business transitions and required documentation, it will be beneficial. Establishing strong relationships with onshore counterparts is crucial, and the ability to handle onshore queries and issues is essential.,
