Design, build, and maintain dbt models to support accounting and financial reporting workflows
Write and optimize SQL queries for data transformation and validation.
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and accuracy checks.
Investigate data discrepancies and work independently to resolve issues, escalating when necessary.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand accounting processes and translate them into data models.
Proactively ask questions and challenge assumptions to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
Learn and adopt new tools quickly; contribute ideas to improve workflows.
Strong skills in SQL, dbt, and excel.
Experience with accounting/financial data and understanding of accounting flows.
Attention to detail with a mindset of checking for accuracy and asking questions.
Independent problem-solver with strong troubleshooting skills.
Hands-on experience with Hightouch, Make, or Retool.
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau).
Interest or experience in AI/ML applications (e.g., using AI tools for data workflows or automation).
Background with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite).
