With the launch of our new R&D and engineering office in Coimbatore, we’re building a pioneering team to develop the next generation of water purification and appliance solutions—completely focused on plastic-based electromechanical designs. Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in plastic product design and injection molding for consumer and industrial water systems. This role excludes sheet metal work entirely. Instead, it focuses on designing cost-effective, manufacturable plastic enclosures and integrated components for electromechanical appliances such as ozone-based water purifiers, solenoid-integrated systems, and water-level detection units. Key Responsibilities: Independently conceptualize and develop 3D models and detailed 2D drawings of plastic-only mechanical parts for electromechanical appliances. Design functional and aesthetic plastic enclosures, internal mechanisms, and plumbing-safe layouts—strictly avoiding sheet metal. Select appropriate plastics and additives based on strength, heat resistance, water resistance, and ozone exposure. Design and validate plastic injection molds, core-cavity layouts, and gating strategies while managing material shrinkage and tooling tolerances. Apply DFM/DFA principles specific to plastic injection molding to ensure design scalability and cost efficiency. Carry out prototyping, mechanical testing, and design validation with a focus on fit, finish, and durability. Create and maintain accurate BOMs, part metadata, and revision histories using ERP and PDM/PLM tools (e.g., Vault Pro). Interface with toolmakers and component vendors to develop robust injection molding tools and ensure production-readiness. Required Skills & Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering 10+ years of experience in mechanical design, with a clear focus on plastic product development for consumer or industrial appliances. Deep expertise in plastic part design and injection molding tool development, including shrinkage calculation, draft angles, ribs, bosses, and snap fits. Proficient in Autodesk Inventor; working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CREO is a plus. Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerancing for plastics, and designing around mold flow behavior. Experience working in water-based product ecosystems (e.g., purifiers, solenoid-integrated plumbing, float sensors). Self-driven, hands-on problem solver with the ability to manage full product lifecycle from design to production. This is a hands-on role involving lab setup, prototyping, testing, procurement, and team mentoring. We are seeking an experienced and innovative Production Manager to lead the design, development, and manufacturing of modern Stainless Steel Water Dispensers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stainless steel product manufacturing, hands-on knowledge of design tools like AutoCAD and 3D modeling software, and at least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role. This role demands a strong understanding of both production processes and product aesthetics to create market-leading water dispensers. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, prototyping, and development of SS water dispensers from concept to final production. Work closely with the design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability, functionality, and cost-effectiveness. Plan and oversee production schedules, material procurement, tooling, and process implementation. Collaborate with QA/QC teams to maintain high standards of product durability, hygiene, and safety. Optimize stainless steel fabrication, welding, stamping, and assembly processes for efficiency and quality. Evaluate and integrate modern cooling/heating and filtration technologies into product designs. Supervise and train production staff to ensure consistent output and adherence to process standards. Continuously review and improve production methods and recommend innovative manufacturing practices. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for material quality and timely delivery. Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience in production or product development of stainless steel appliances or water dispensers. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other 3D modeling software must have hands-on experience in design. Strong knowledge of stainless steel sheet metal processes, fabrication techniques, and assembly lines. Understanding of water dispenser mechanisms, including filtration systems, cooling/heating units, and electrical integration. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and team coordination skills. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to new product development (NPD) projects in water/stainless steel related appliances. Experience with ISO, lean manufacturing, and 5S implementation. Understanding of consumer safety standards and hygiene norms applicable to water dispensers.
