Job Description

Role & responsibilities


  1. Receiving Goods:


    • Unload and inspect incoming shipments.
    • Verify items against invoices or packing slips.
    • Record any damages or discrepancies.

  2. Inventory Management:


    • Properly label, store, and organize inventory.
    • Perform regular stock counts and maintain accurate records.
    • Use inventory management systems or software (e.g., WMS, SAP).

  3. Order Picking & Packing:


    • Pick items as per order slips.
    • Pack goods securely for shipment or delivery.
    • Attach accurate labels and documentation.

  4. Shipping & Dispatching:


    • Load outgoing goods onto trucks or delivery vehicles.
    • Ensure timely and accurate dispatch.
    • Coordinate with logistics and transport teams.

  5. Housekeeping & Safety:


    • Keep warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
    • Follow safety protocols and wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
    • Report any hazards or maintenance issues.

  6. Documentation & Reporting:


    • Maintain logs for received and dispatched goods.
    • Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
    • Coordinate with supervisors for documentation compliance.

  7. Equipment Handling:


    • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment (if certified).
    • Perform basic maintenance checks on equipment.

  8. Team Collaboration:


    • Work closely with other warehouse staff and departments (e.g., procurement, logistics).
    • Communicate effectively to resolve order or inventory issues.
