Warehouse and Transport Manager

Greetings from VAS INDIA CONSULTING!!! We are hiring for an Assistant Transport Manager in the Supply Chain Industry with 8 years of experience. The role is based in Chennai with a salary of 8 LPA. Key Responsibilities: - Logistics Coordination: You will be responsible for planning and managing transportation routes for inbound and outbound deliveries. - Fleet Management: Supervise vehicle maintenance, availability, and performance to ensure efficient operations. - Cost Optimization: Control transport-related expenses and identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality and delivery times. - Vendor Management: Collaborate with transport service providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure smooth operations. - Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with transport regulations, health and safety laws, and industry standards. - Performance Monitoring: Utilize KPIs to evaluate delivery performance, fuel consumption, and vehicle utilization. - Technology Use: Implement transport management systems (TMS) for scheduling, tracking, and reporting purposes. - Team Supervision: Manage drivers and logistics staff by handling scheduling, training, and performance evaluations. - Customer Service: Address delivery issues promptly and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction with transport services.
