Job Summary

The Ward Secretary is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the ward, ensuring smooth patient services and assisting healthcare staff in day-to-day ward operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges efficiently.
• Maintain patient records, files, and ensure timely documentation.
• Act as a communication link between doctors, nurses, patients, and patient families.
• Handle ward-related correspondence, phone calls, and inquiries.
• Assist patients and relatives with information and guidance as required.\
• Support the ward team in scheduling investigations, appointments, and follow-ups.
• Ensure confidentiality of patient information and adherence to hospital protocols.
• Manage ward inventory and coordinate with support departments for supplies.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and hospital software.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in hospital/healthcare administration preferred.
• Compassionate, patient-focused, and organized.
