Centre for Stem Cell Tissue Engineering and Biomedical Excellence (Pharmaceutical Extension Block – 2nd Floor) Panjab University, Chandigarh–160014 ADVERTISEMENT NOTICE Applications are invited for one post of Guest Faculty (Assistant Professor) in the Centre for Stem Cell Tissue Engineering & Biomedical Excellence, Panjab University, Chandigarh to be filled in through Walk-In Interview, purely on temporary basis, for the academic Session January-May 2024 to teach M.Sc. course of the Centre. Minimum qualifications for the aforementioned post are as per UGC norms. Qualifications for the post of one (01) Guest Faculty (Assistant Professor) Essential Qualification: (i) M.Sc. in Stem Cell & Tissue Engineering/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University with good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% of the marks (50% in case of SC/ST/OBC/Physically & Visually handicapped) or an equivalent grade in a point wherever grading system is followed at Master’s degree level. (ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR. (iii) The candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions. DesirableQualification:  Ph.D. degree in Stem Cell & Tissue Engineering/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology with at least two-years of research experience or teaching experience of post-graduate classes in the field of respective subject with relevant publication/s in peer reviewed journals. Honorarium : The appointment of Guest Faculty is on lecture basis with token honorarium of Rs. 1500/- per lecture with an upper limit of Rs. 50,000/- per month. The candidate has to undertake that he /she will not draw any fellowship/stipend or any financial assistance from any agency and will do the same till they are teaching in the Centre for Stem Cell Tissue Engineering & Biomedical Excellence.
