Review the existing architecture and make recommendations for improvements. Technology agnostic and has worked on multiple different applications. Experience in eCommerce Subsystems & all business models (B2B/B2C/D2D). Improve cycle time and faster services to front end from third party systems. Develop solution to ensure system of record integrity. Provide technical, architectural, and development value and leadership on an e-commerce platform following software design methodology standards. Work with Solution Architects to establish technical vision for the project based on business requirements. Provide development estimates for large feature sets to Architects and Project Managers in support of building Work Breakdown Structures and project plans. Providing subject-matter expert support to the project delivery team and other third-party development teams as needed. Skills and Experience 10+ years of overall application engineering and technology experience. Knowledge of enterprise-level technical solutions within retail and ecommerce landscape is a must. 10+ years working in a senior technology engineering and/or architecture role is a must. Relevant experience in leading eCommerce systems (Salesforce Commerce Cloud/Demandware, KIBO Commerce, Shopify, Commercetools, Sitecore Commerce, EPIserver Commerce, etc.). Experience in developing business solutions using Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware). Advanced knowledge of eCommerce strategies and commerce operations management. Advanced knowledge of omni-channel Order Management Systems. Working knowledge of analytics platforms. Experience in collaboration with Technical Architects / Solution Architects to create and maintain strategic roadmaps, principles, standards and reference architectures. Experience in maintenance and project monitoring of technical architecture structures from business capability to applications to data, establishing technical architecture compliance. Expertise in providing guidance to PMs and BAs in how to develop requirements and establish compliance with business architecture, enterprise and functional area strategic roadmaps. Expertise in RESTful web services, Ajax-driven client applications, and includes Advanced JavaScript architectures. Strong background of World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), accessibility guidelines, model view controller (MVC), agile development, and tools. Experience in using Pipelines, JS controllers, ISML templates and real-time data exchange using web services. Hands-on experience of integrating custom services into SFCC. Good exposure of payment, tax, and operation management suite (OMS) integrations. Good understanding of Business Manager and configuring jobs. Exposure to technical reports and understanding of Demandware limitations, such as quotas. Proficient in Demandware foundational concepts with good knowledge of SiteGenesis, UX Studio, content assets or slots, and Demandware Catalog.
