You'll play a key role in delivering validation campaigns aligned with test plans and test cases in real or simulated environments. Day-to-day, youll work closely with teams across the business, including system, project, product, quality, and safety teams, ensuring QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) commitments are met. Youll also contribute to workload estimation, align with scheduling, and ensure adherence to strict processes and standards.
Youll specifically take care of functional testing at sub-system or system levels, as well as designing and validating test environments and tools, but also perform investigations on defects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Performing functional testing using NI TestStand tools and related verification activities

Specifying and designing overall tests, including test architecture and test cases

Preparing and conducting test sessions, producing test reports, and raising associated change requests

Developing and validating test environments and tools

Ensuring test traceability against requirements

Managing V&V work products under configuration management

Collaborating with global teams to address challenges and deliver solutions

Ensuring adherence to software, V&V, and safety processes

Bachelors or postgraduate degree in Engineering IT, CS, ECE, EEE, or equivalent

4+ years of experience in verification and validation of complex embedded systems

Experience with requirement/functional-based testing on host and target-based environments

Proficiency with NI TestStand suite

Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Perl for automation
-
Experience in defect management and functional defect identification
-
Strong understanding of test life cycles, defect life cycles, and testing concepts
-
Problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to identify root causes in complex systems

Experience with tools like ClearQuest, Git, Reqtify, and DOORS
-
Familiarity with standards such as CENELEC SIL4 or DO178B
-
Knowledge of communication protocols like TCP/IP
-
Domain knowledge in railway signalling is desirable, but experience in avionics or other engineering domains is also welcome
