Job Description

As a VR Operator at our forward-thinking business specializing in virtual reality experiences, your role will involve setting up, monitoring, and managing virtual reality interactions for clients/customers. You will be responsible for guiding participants, ensuring equipment functionality, and maintaining a safe and immersive environment. Your assistance will be crucial in making each user's VR experience memorable. Key Responsibilities: - Greet and assist customers/participants, provide explanations on VR experience workings, and conduct safety briefings. - Set up and calibrate VR hardware including headsets, controllers, and tracking systems to ensure proper functioning. - Monitor VR sessions to ensure participant comfort, troubleshoot basic technical issues, and make necessary adjustments. - Maintain equipment and environment cleanliness between sessions according to industry/health & safety standards. - Manage booking/check-in procedures, schedule sessions, and provide guidance to enhance participant experiences. - Report equipment faults, log technical issues, and collaborate with technical support for resolutions. - Promote add-ons, merchandise, or extended session time in a commercial entertainment setting. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Comfortable with VR technology including headsets, controllers, and tracking systems. - Strong interpersonal and customer-facing skills to guide, instruct, and reassure users effectively. - Attention to safety protocols to manage participants in VR safely, considering spatial issues and technical aspects. - Basic troubleshooting skills such as restarting a headset or recalibrating hardware. - Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and evenings as per business requirements. - Physical capability to stand for sessions, assist participants with equipment, and reset rooms between sessions. - Ideally, some background in gaming, VR, simulation, or interactive tech, though training will be provided. Preferred Qualifications: - Previous experience in VR operation, arcade/game-hosting, or training/simulation environments. - Knowledge of PC or console VR platforms like Oculus, META, PlayStation VR, and related hardware. - Experience in customer service, hospitality, or entertainment industries.
