As a skilled Ground Station Technician at Dhruva Space, your primary responsibility will be to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of satellite ground station equipment. Your expertise in hardware and software systems will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of satellite communication systems. Key responsibilities include assisting in the installation and configuration of ground station equipment such as antennas, amplifiers, receivers, and RF systems. You will be required to perform routine maintenance and basic repairs to maintain optimal system performance. Monitoring satellite signals and system health, identifying interference and performance issues, and supporting troubleshooting efforts to diagnose and resolve technical problems are also essential aspects of this role. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting basic system testing and calibration of antennas and RF equipment, operating and maintaining ground station software for tracking and signal processing, and collaborating with tracking systems to ensure accurate satellite positioning using GPS and orbital data. To be successful in this position, you should have a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related technical field, along with 1-3 years of experience in satellite communication systems or RF technology. You should also possess the ability to work outdoors and handle physical tasks related to equipment installation, as well as hold certifications in RF technology or satellite communications.
