Job Description

As a leading market research company, Market Xcel is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Sales and Business Development to drive our growth strategy and expand our client base in International Markets for our data collection services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record in sales and business development within the market research industry, and the ability to cultivate strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
  2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship building.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and maximizing retention.
  4. Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling sales materials, presentations, and proposals that effectively communicate the company's value proposition.
  5. Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making and identify growth opportunities.
  6. Lead negotiations and contract discussions with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  7. Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of sales opportunities, accurately forecasting future revenue streams.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
  9. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
  10. Monitor sales performance metrics and KPIs, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
  11. Continuously evaluate and optimize sales processes and strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales and business development in MR Industry.
  3. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and empower a diverse team.
  4. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade key stakeholders.
  5. Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  6. Deep understanding of market research methodologies, industry trends, and client needs.
  7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  8. Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office suite.
