VP Finance

As a Vice President Finance at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the Finance Function. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to: - Managing the General ledger, period end submissions, and reporting activities effectively. - Performing Financial control activities in compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal audit requirements. - Supporting in designing and operating control and standard operating procedures for the Financial control function for ServCo Finance. - Driving adherence to internal accounting policies and regulatory standards such as IFRS / Ind-AS. - Managing balance sheet substantiation and resolving open items in a timely manner. - Partnering with ServCo Finance leadership team/ALCM on working capital management. - Supporting tax team in ensuring full compliance with Indian direct and indirect tax regulations (GST, Corporate Tax, STPI, etc.). - Preparing quarterly Board finance packs with key financial and operational insights. - Overseeing financial accounting, recharges, business finance, and partnering team activities. - Providing reliable planning data to global businesses and functions for additions and amortization. Qualifications required for this role include: - Professionally qualified accountant with a good academic background and 10 years post-qualification experience in the financial services industry (ACA, ACCA, CIMA is preferred). - Professional experience within the financial services sector. - Ability to develop effective working relationships with business partners. - Sound judgement based on expert knowledge of the Groups operations and accounting policies. - Lateral thinking and analytical rigour to bring structure and solutions to problematic areas. - Prior experience of working with multiple stakeholders and teams is preferable. - Understanding of the India regulatory environment including Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Direct & Indirect Taxes.
