VP, AI and Engineering

Role Overview: As the VP of AI and Engineering at Syneos Health, you will be responsible for leading the AI, software, data, and quality engineering organization. Your role involves delivering best-in-class AI, data, and applications used by thousands of users worldwide. You will collaborate with digital and technology product teams to create solutions that accelerate medicines and vaccines development, enable patient access, and support Syneos Health's growth. Additionally, you will oversee the technology products that enhance internal capabilities across corporate functions. Your leadership will extend to building and developing the engineering organization in India and managing engineering nodes globally. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain a best-in-class engineering organization by attracting, developing, and retaining talent across various disciplines including AI, software, data analytics, quality, testing, and agile facilitation. - Manage and scale a team of technology professionals ensuring alignment with business demands and upskilling them on new technologies. - Partner with digital and tech product leaders to prioritize initiatives, provide work estimates, and maintain product roadmaps. - Drive DevOps, DataOps, and MLOps platforms to enhance engineering productivity and automation. - Lead the day-to-day operations of the site-based team, ensuring alignment with global strategic objectives. - Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, provide regular updates on performance, and ensure compliance with legal and company policies. - Promote innovation within the team and continuously improve site processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Qualifications: - Experience in technology or operations leadership roles, managing tech teams in a region focused on life sciences. - Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex technology projects globally. - Ability to transform legacy technology teams into efficient, delivery-oriented organizations. - Experience managing technical and operational aspects of a global business with teams in different locations. - Strong leadership, team-building, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Deep understanding of modern software, AI, and data development methodologies. - Proficiency in technology management, project delivery, and risk mitigation. - Strong business acumen with the ability to manage budgets, resources, and operational performance. - Problem-solving skills, proactive approach to challenges, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Experience in a global or multi-site organization is desirable.,
