Job Summary:

VoIP Expert

Key Responsibilities:

• VoIP Architecture Design

  : Design end-to-end VoIP architecture that aligns with business requirements and ensures high availability, scalability, and security.

• Solution Development

  : Develop VoIP solutions, including

  Unified Communications (UC)

  platforms,

  SIP trunking

  , and cloud-based or on-premise PBX systems.

• Integration Strategy

  : Lead the integration of VoIP solutions with other enterprise communication systems like video conferencing, CRM, and collaboration tools.

• Technology Selection

  : Evaluate and select VoIP platforms, software, hardware, and related technologies based on company needs and industry best practices.

• Security Architecture

  : Define and implement security protocols to protect VoIP systems from fraud, DDoS attacks, and eavesdropping.

• Collaboration & Leadership

  : Work with network engineers, developers, and vendors to design and implement solutions, ensuring alignment with overall IT infrastructure.

• Project Management

  : Lead VoIP solution deployment projects from planning through to implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.

• Performance Optimization

  : Monitor and optimize VoIP systems for performance, including latency, packet loss, jitter, and overall call quality.

• Documentation

  : Develop comprehensive documentation, including network diagrams, call flow charts, and configuration guidelines.

• Compliance

  : Ensure VoIP systems comply with local and international regulations (e.g., emergency services, privacy laws).

• Vendor Management

  : Manage relationships with VoIP service providers and hardware vendors to ensure seamless support and updates.

• Training & Mentorship

  : Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.

Key Qualifications:

• Education

  : Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Experience

  : 7+ years of experience in designing and implementing VoIP systems, with a focus on large-scale enterprise deployments i.e Asterisk or Kamilio, Power Media XMS server, FreeSwitch or cloud based option like Genesys..).

Technical Skills:

• Expert knowledge of VoIP protocols

  such as SIP, H.323, MGCP, RTP, and SRTP.
• Experience with

  Unified Communications

  platforms (e.g., Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Microsoft Teams, Avaya).
• In-depth understanding of

  PBX systems

  , both cloud-based (e.g., RingCentral, Zoom Phone) and on-premise.
• Expertise in

  VoIP infrastructure design

  , including LAN/WAN, firewalls, SBCs (Session Border Controllers), and QoS (Quality of Service) configuration.
• Strong background in

  networking

  (routing, switching, VLANs, etc.) and

  network troubleshooting

  tools like Wireshark.
• Knowledge of

  VoIP security

  and encryption protocols.
• Familiarity with

  call routing, call flow, and call handling mechanisms

  .
• Experience in designing

  high-availability and disaster recovery solutions

  for VoIP systems.

Additional Preferences:

• Experience with

  cloud-based VoIP platforms

  and deployment on cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Knowledge of

  call center VoIP solutions

  and integration with CRM platforms.
• Experience in VoIP solutions for

  large enterprise networks

  , including multi-location and international deployments.
