Voice Engineer

As a Voice Engineer with 1-2 years of experience, you will be based in Pune and work on-site, providing end-to-end support to a prominent client from the US. Your primary responsibilities will include handling Voice Operations/Services for commercial customers, such as Hosted PBX, Local Phone Services, SIP Trunking, PRI, Toll-Free Services, Long Distance, and Audio Conferencing. You should have expertise in VoIP Protocols & Troubleshooting, as well as knowledge of Telecom Equipment & Tools like CUCM Cisco CME, Cisco ONS, and the Telecom Domain. It would be advantageous if you possess certifications such as CCNA Voice and CCNP Voice. Your role will involve working with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Avaya Aura Contact Center Administration, and Technical Assistant Centre (TAC) Engineer. A good understanding of Telecom Voice protocols like SIP and SS7 is essential, along with the ability to interpret SIP/SS7 protocol traces using tools like Empirix. Monitoring and maintaining network entities like Routers, Switches, NGN network, Soft Switch, Media Gateways, SBCs, and Tx Equipments will be part of your daily tasks. Collaborating with vendors and carriers on T1/T3 TDM circuits, conducting head-to-head testing, and providing timely updates to customers are also crucial responsibilities. Your troubleshooting skills should cover a range of carrier/vendor issues such as ASR, ACD, DTMF, Voice Quality, equipment problems, and Toll-Free Services. Additionally, you will need to resolve various VoIP phone feature issues and maintain agreed SLAs. In addition to technical skills, you should possess excellent oral and written communication abilities, proficiency in basic computer applications, strong analytical skills, and the capacity to work effectively in a team. The ability to clearly communicate network issues and resolutions is vital for this role.,
