VMware Support Engineer

As a VMware Support Engineer at Viraaj HR Solutions, you will be responsible for providing on-site support for VMware environments, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of VMware infrastructure. Your role will involve troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to VMware products, monitoring system performance, and optimizing for efficiency. Additionally, you will be required to implement and maintain backup solutions for VMware systems, assist with network configuration and management, and document processes, configurations, and changes accurately. Collaboration with other IT teams to ensure system stability and performance, managing virtual servers and storage systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards, conducting system upgrades and patch management, providing training and support for end-users regarding VM operations, and participating in disaster recovery planning and execution are also key responsibilities of the role. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred), along with 2+ years of experience in VMware support roles. Possessing VMware certifications such as VCP and VCAP would be advantageous. You should demonstrate a solid understanding of computer networking fundamentals, strong troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail. Experience with Windows/Linux server operating systems, familiarity with cloud computing concepts, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Moreover, you should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery, comprehensive knowledge of virtualization technologies, strong documentation skills, technical writing ability, and a customer service-oriented approach. Adaptability to changing technologies and processes, strong problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to learn and grow in a rapidly evolving environment are also desired qualities for this role.,
