Role Overview: You are an expert VMware L4 Administrator with specialized skills in VMware Virtual SAN (vSAN) and Azure VMware Solution (AVS) responsible for leading the virtual infrastructure strategy and operations. Your role at a senior level demands extensive knowledge of VMware technologies, particularly vSAN and AVS, to design, implement, and maintain complex virtual environments at an enterprise scale. You will act as the top-level expert, providing strategic insights and advanced troubleshooting support across the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and deploy robust VMware vSphere, vSAN, and Azure VMware Solution (AVS) that align with the future needs of the business, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. - Provide L4 support for the most complex issues in the virtual infrastructure, involving deep-dive analysis and troubleshooting of vSphere, vSAN, and AVS environments. - Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide virtualization strategies, integrating with existing systems and planning for future technologies. - Develop and enforce best practices for vSphere, vSAN, and AVS administration, including performance tuning, disaster recovery, and security compliance. - Conduct sophisticated capacity planning and performance analysis to anticipate growth needs and identify potential bottlenecks within the virtual infrastructure. - Spearhead the evaluation and adoption of new virtualization technologies and tools, promoting innovation and continuous improvement within the IT infrastructure. - Collaborate with senior IT leaders to align virtualization strategies with overall IT and business goals. - Mentor and develop a team of VMware administrators, nurturing a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
