Position Overview

The Senior Video Editor will be responsible for leading the video editing function, managing end-to-end post-production workflows, and delivering polished, professional video content that meets brand standards and engages our audience. This role requires advanced technical expertise, creativity, and leadership skills to mentor junior editors and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Video Editing & Post-Production: Edit long-form and short-form videos, ensuring smooth transitions, correct pacing, and alignment with the creative brief.
• Creative Storytelling: Transform raw footage into compelling narratives, incorporating graphics, animations, sound, and visual effects.
• Quality Control: Ensure all videos adhere to brand guidelines, technical specifications, and quality standards.
• Leadership & Mentoring: Guide and mentor junior video editors, sharing best practices and technical know-how.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the content, marketing, and creative teams to understand project objectives and deliver on deadlines.
• Innovation: Stay updated on video editing trends, tools, and industry best practices, and integrate them into workflows.
• Asset Management: Organize and maintain an efficient media library and backup system.
• Sound & Color Correction: Perform audio mixing, noise reduction, and color grading to enhance the overall quality of the output.
• Multi-Platform Editing: Adapt videos for various formats and platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, OTT, etc.).

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 8–10+ years in professional video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing high-quality work.
• Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and other relevant tools.
• Strong understanding of codecs, formats, and export settings.
• Knowledge of motion graphics, animation, and VFX.
• Creative Vision: Exceptional storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail, pacing, and composition.
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to interpret creative briefs and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Adaptability: Willingness to experiment with new styles and editing techniques.
• Education: Degree/Diploma in Film Editing, Media Production, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory if backed by exceptional experience).

Preferred Attributes

• Prior experience in the education, media, or digital content creation space.
• Strong grasp of English language nuances for editing educational content.
• Experience with 3D animation tools or AI-based editing software is a plus.
