Vice President F&A

We are seeking a seasoned Vice President to head our Accounting & Finance division in India, supporting US-based clients through outsourced accounting and bookkeeping services.

The Vice President will be responsible for driving operational excellence in financial management, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and relevant tax regulations, strengthening financial controls, and guiding strategic financial decisions.

This role requires a strong background in the KPO/BPO sector with proven leadership in managing offshore finance teams serving international clients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting

• Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting to India and US-based senior management team as well as US based clients and external stakeholders.
• Manage audit processes, including coordination with internal and external auditors.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting

• Lead annual budgeting and financial planning processes in collaboration with business unit heads.
• Develop financial forecasts, track performance against targets, and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide detailed variance analysis and business insights for management decision-making.

3. Cash Flow and Treasury Management

• Monitor client fund flow, payables, receivables, and cash positions to ensure adequate liquidity.
• Implement effective treasury management strategies to optimize working capital.
• Oversee financial reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.

4. Internal Controls & Compliance

• Establish, review, and enforce strong internal controls to safeguard assets and financial integrity.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, US accounting regulations, and international tax requirements.
• Coordinate with tax advisors on cross-border taxation, transfer pricing, and regulatory compliance.

5. Client-Focused Delivery

• Ensure high-quality service delivery to US-based clients, addressing financial reporting needs and compliance requirements.
• Act as a key financial advisor to clients, providing insights on cost optimization, financial performance, and growth opportunities.

6. Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing finance and accounting team in India.
• Build strong capability in US accounting practices (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, SAP, etc.).
• Foster a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

7. Strategic Planning & Analysis

• Provide financial modeling, due diligence, and analytical support for new business opportunities, partnerships, or acquisitions.
• Identify risks and opportunities for margin improvement and process efficiency.
• Partner with senior leadership to align financial goals with overall business strategy.

Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Masters degree preferred).
• CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification is required.

Experience

• Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in finance & accounting within the KPO/BPO sector.
• At least 5–10 years in a leadership role, managing offshore accounting teams serving US-based clients.
• Strong expertise in US GAAP, US tax compliance, and financial reporting for international clients.
• Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms and ERP systems (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, SAP, Sage Intacct, etc.).
