Veterinarian

Job Title: Paravet (Paraveterinary Staff) Location: Utkarsh Global Foundation, Department: Animal Health & Welfare Employment Type: Full-Time --- Job Summary: Utkarsh Global Foundation, is inviting applications for the position of Paravet with fresher/Experience of experience in assisting veterinary surgeries and animal care. The ideal candidate should be skilled in pre-operative and post-operative animal handling, surgical assistance, and basic medical procedures, especially in street animal welfare settings. --- Key Responsibilities: Assist veterinary surgeons during surgical procedures including sterilization (spay/neuter), wound treatment, and minor surgeries. Handle animals during pre-operative and post-operative care. Administer medications and vaccinations as per the veterinarian’s instructions. Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of surgical tools and operating area. Monitor animals’ vitals during and after surgery. Support in Animal Birth Control (ABC) programs and mass vaccination drives. Maintain daily reports and surgical records accurately. Work in coordination with veterinary doctors, dog-catching teams, and shelter staff. --- Qualifications & Experience: Diploma or certification in Para veterinary Science / Livestock Inspector / Veterinary Compounder. Registration with the appropriate state veterinary/paravet board Fresher/Exeperience of experience in assisting veterinary surgeries. Experience in working with NGOs, ABC programs, or shelter animals will be an advantage. --- Skills Required: Good animal handling skills, especially with stray or rescued animals. Knowledge of basic animal healthcare, first aid, and post-operative support. Familiarity with sterilization procedures and surgical equipment. Compassionate attitude and ability to work in field conditions. Teamwork and coordination skills. --- Salary up to 20,000 + Accomodation As per experience and organization norms.
