VAT Associate - REMOTE POSITION

Our client is seeking an Offshore VAT Associate to assist with VAT compliance, reporting, and client advisory support. This role is ideal for an accounting or finance professional with a strong interest in tax who is eager to expand their expertise in the UAE VAT framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns for clients.
• Assist in VAT registration and deregistration processes.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records for client VAT accounts.
• Assist in preparing VAT refund and penalty reconsideration applications.
• Review client documentation to ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations.
• Respond to client queries under the guidance of senior tax staff.
• Stay updated on the latest VAT rules and practices in the UAE.
• Maintain confidentiality and data security standards in all processes.
• Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary financial data.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance VAT knowledge.
• Perform other duties as directed by the VAT Manager to support department goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Part-qualified or pursuing a professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) preferred.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in a VAT or tax-related role.
• Worked with UAE Clients or has UAE VAT knowledge.
