As a Production In charge - Machine shop at ULTIMATE ALLOYS PRIVATE LIMITED, located in Coimbatore, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the machine shop. Your responsibilities will include ensuring production schedules are met, supervising staff, maintaining quality control standards, managing inventory, and coordinating with other departments to optimize efficiency. Your key responsibilities will involve managing daily machine shop operations to meet production targets and delivery schedules, planning and allocating jobs based on priorities to ensure efficient use of CNC (VMC, HMC, VTL) and conventional machines, leading and coordinating with operators to maximize performance and productivity, as well as monitoring machine performance and ensuring timely maintenance for smooth shift operations. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical/Production Engineering (Bachelors degree preferred) and have at least 5+ years of experience in a machine shop managing CNC and conventional machines. You should possess a strong knowledge of pumps and valve manufacturing and machining processes, hands-on experience in CNC operations, job planning, and manpower supervision, as well as familiarity with equipment maintenance, quality control, and Lean/Continuous Improvement methods. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. Experience in the steel casting industry would be an added advantage.
