Value Analyst

Role Overview: You will be providing support and expertise in product cost management for both current and new products. This will involve serving on the product development core team, offering technical cost estimates for components and tooling, preparing cost analysis for milestone reviews, and tracking/reporting overall product costs to meet program targets. Key Responsibilities: - Act as a subject matter expert on components/processes to update cost parameters, including evaluating new processes or technology costs - Propose, collect, and evaluate cost reduction opportunities or more economical design/process alternatives to optimize product cost - Monitor product cost activities evolution and support corrective actions for any major deviations with product engineering teams - Verify monthly closures to consolidate product costs reported by Engineering into a holistic report - Manage the database effectively - Analyze product costs and committed cost reductions monthly, collaborating with Finance for work in progress evaluation and corrective actions - Ensure delivery of new product programs and margin improvement initiatives to platform GM targets - Drive accountability within cross-functional teams to meet cost targets for both new and current products - Lead key Product Cost topics within the Change Review Board/similar forums - Implement initiatives to resolve discrepancies between target and actual costs - Prioritize costing activities by collaborating across teams to meet program timelines - Analyze and decide on make or buy arbitrages Qualification Required: - Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in off-road or automotive industry with vehicle systems product development - Background in Agricultural or Construction Equipment industry or off-road machinery engineering preferred - Experience with System Engineering and design to cost - Strong background in requirements capture and management processes - Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure - Proficient in working transversally with different teams and stakeholders - Independent thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision on multiple projects - Bachelor/Masters degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred Note: The job description did not include any additional details about the company.,
