Job Description

As a finance consulting generalist at PwC, you will specialize in providing services related to financial management and strategy. Your role will involve analyzing client needs, developing financial solutions, and offering guidance to help clients optimize their financial performance, improve decision-making, and achieve their financial goals. You are expected to possess a broad understanding of various aspects of finance consulting and provide comprehensive support tailored to specific business requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Analyzing third party valuations by challenging assumptions and performing sensitivity analysis on illiquid investments across industries and geographies using accepted approaches and theory. - Developing technical strength in the valuation of alternative assets and serving as a firm resource for that expertise. - Reporting and presenting analysis and conclusions through written reports and drafting valuation queries for the audit team. - Delegating tasks effectively and providing direction and support to junior team members. - Enhancing work quality by supervising and coaching others, taking responsibility for work quality, and seeking feedback for improvement. - Building long-term client relationships through exceptional service, understanding client needs, and delivering high-quality work. Qualifications Required: - Qualified Chartered accountant or CFA charter holder. - 3-5 years of valuation-related work experience with expertise in constructing and reviewing valuation models. - Understanding of Private Equity industry, startup and VC funding, and capital structure of private companies. - Proficiency in MS Excel and experience in building and maintaining client relationships. - Strong research, financial modeling, analytical, and valuation skills. - Fluency in English and ability to work effectively with third parties. - Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting/economics with certifications such as CFA (US) or CA mandatory. - Experience in mentoring staff, managing teams, and coordinating tasks across functions. Additional Details: - The role requires flexible and adaptive behavior to changing situations and a commitment to continuous training for personal growth and development. - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and good understanding of corporate financial statements and various types of securities are essential for this position. - Previous experience in financial services companies, investment banks, Big 4 firms, valuation firms, or consulting firms will be advantageous. - Strong communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and ability to work closely with team members under tight deadlines are key attributes for this role.,
