We are seeking an UX Designer to join our global UXD practice at Springer Nature and work within the Pharma Intelligence portfolio, focusing on Adis Insight our flagship drug intelligence database.

As a key member of the Adis product team, you will lead the design of intuitive, data-driven experiences that empower pharma professionals, researchers, and decision-makers with actionable insights across the drug development lifecycle.

This role involves working closely with product managers and engineers to simplify the complex transforming extensive scientific, clinical, and commercial data into clear, engaging, and impactful experiences. You ll help evolve Adis Insight into a smarter, more interactive intelligence platform by leveraging AI, automation, and advanced data visualisation.

The role is both challenging and highly rewarding offering the chance to shape a platform that supports evidence-based decisions across the global pharma ecosystem, reinforcing Springer Nature s position as a trusted source of scientific and market intelligence.

What You ll Be Doing

You will be a champion for the customer, creating experiences that align with AdisInsight vision and deliver user-centered design solutions.

Within 3 months

Get settled:

Learn about the Springer Nature group, our DAS group, and the various domains.

Understand the AdisInsight domain, meet stakeholders, and grasp the background and context of various projects.

Begin to work with DAS UX Lead s and get to know your research, design, peers/community.

Research - Familiarize yourself with what has been done to date, gathering the context and history of it.

Design - Familiarize yourself with the existing process and make contributions where possible.

Within 6 months

Be involved:

Research - Begin to work with the UX Researcher, to plan and conduct continuous discovery.

Design - Be the focal point of d elivery, prioritization, reviews and critique.

Collaborat e with the UX Lead, UX Researcher, UI Designer, members of the AdisInsight team, design peers and wider community.

Take the lead on UX Design within your team, provide design direction.

In 12 months time

Make an impact:

Research - know where there are gaps and assumptions. You know the relative risk and potential effort of each that is clearly laid out in a plan for the foreseeable future .

Ensure Design is informed by research and the design system; any new elements and insights are fed back into the design system.

Be involved in strategy planning sessions that help shape the product and its direction, by being the voice of, and expert on the user, through your design and research work.

Be proactive within your team, with the wider UX community and beyond.

About You

To be successful in this role, you ll bring:

3-5 years of experience in UX design, with at least 1 year of experience working on a task of heavily related application.

Strong problem-solving skills and experience designing data-heavy, research, or B2B platforms.

Deep understanding of UX research methods and the ability to independently plan and execute studies.

Proven ability to simplify complex data interactions into clear, usable designs.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with non-designers.

Empathy for users and a drive to create value for scientists, researchers, and pharma professionals.

Comfortable working with AI-assisted tools, data visualisations, and dashboards.

A collaborative mindset and comfort working across distributed, cross-functional teams.

Awareness of ethical design practices and a commitment to responsible data and AI use.

A growth mindset self-aware, reflective, and eager to keep learning.
