User Experience Designer

Role Overview: As a UX/UI Designer at Assurant-GCC in India, you will be tasked with creating and implementing designs that enhance human-computer interactions, ensuring they are intuitive, accessible, and relevant to the task at hand. Your focus will be on designing systems that not only meet user functionality requirements but also consider the emotional impact of the design. Key Responsibilities: - Translate product functionality requirements into interactive and visually creative solutions - Utilize market research and psychology to design human-computer interfaces effectively - Participate in the discovery, design, development, and deployment processes of software delivery lifecycle - Work on various platforms including B2B, B2B2C, D2C, web, enterprise applications, and mobile devices - Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality designs - Conduct design thinking workshops and leverage metrics for design decisions - Lead client progress meetings, make recommendations, and assist in strategic decision-making - Communicate research, conceptual ideas, and designs effectively within a user-centered design process - Juggle multiple demands, prioritize tasks, and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), communications, or equivalent experience - 5-8 years of relevant UX/UI design experience with expertise in industry-standard tools - Experience in designing responsive user experiences accessible on various devices - Working knowledge of ADA accessibility standards and front-end technologies - Strong portfolio demonstrating past work creating user-centered design solutions - Ability to work in collaborative teams and understand web technologies best practices - UX certifications (NNG, HFI, etc.) are a plus Additional Company Details: Assurant is a global business services company that supports major consumer purchases, focusing on innovative solutions and enhanced customer experiences.
