US Mortgage Underwriting

You will be responsible for analyzing and verifying loan applications to ensure all necessary documents are complete and accurate. This includes assessing the borrower's credit history, employment status, income, and debt levels, as well as confirming the property's value through appraisal reports. Furthermore, you will evaluate credit reports to determine the creditworthiness of the borrower. This involves calculating debt-to-income (DTI) ratios and loan-to-value (LTV) ratios to make informed lending decisions. In addition, you will review property valuations, including appraisals and alternative value products, to ensure conformity and assess the accuracy of the property's valuation. As a US Residential Mortgage Underwriter, you will also be responsible for ensuring that loans comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and guidelines. You will need to identify potential risks and assess the overall risk level associated with each loan. This position requires candidates with a degree and 1-10 years of underwriting experience. The ideal candidates should be able to join by the end of December 2024. This is a full-time role based in Chennai.
