US Accounting Team Lead

As an experienced Accountant with 8-15 years of US Accounting experience, you will be responsible for a variety of duties and responsibilities to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient processes within the company: - **Accounting Life Cycle and Reporting:** - Prepare and review monthly asset level financial statements and cash projections. - Help oversee the AP and AR department and review their work. - Assist in preparing aspects of the corporate ownership financial statements, including intercompany transactions and consolidation. - Provide Asset management and Investor relations departments with information on hotel performance and other requests. - Assist with quarterly budget and company performance updates for internal meetings. - **Process Improvement:** - Collaborate in implementing a new ERP system by designing and documenting accounting processes for data completeness, accuracy, and efficient task review. - Streamline processes to enhance efficiency in accounting and throughout the company. - **Tax and Audit Oversight:** - Support financial statement audits by providing necessary documentation and process support. - Assist the tax team by furnishing adequate financial data for tax return preparation. In addition to your core responsibilities, your role will also include utilizing the following skills and abilities: - Curiosity, attention to detail, and a sense of ownership for tasks. - Willingness to ask questions, challenge traditional practices, and exhibit leadership qualities. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and follow-up skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. **Education and Experience Requirements:** - Degree in accounting or related field. - Prior experience with US GAAP accounting. - Experience in creating and reviewing Financial Statements, including knowledge of: - Depreciation & Placing assets in service. - Understanding debt, interest, and amortization. - Experience in auditing and reconciling account balances is preferred. - Familiarity with Financial statement controls and process improvement is a plus. - Experience with cloud-based accounting software, specifically Sage Intacct, is preferred.,
