US Accounting Team Lead

You will be responsible for the following key tasks and responsibilities: - Prepare and review monthly asset level financial statements and cash projections - Help oversee the AP and AR department and review work - Assist in preparing aspects of the corporate ownership financial statements, including intercompany transactions and consolidation - Provide Asset management and Investor relations departments with information on hotel performance and other requests - Assist with quarterly budget and company performance updates for internal meetings You will also be involved in process improvement by: - Helping implement a new ERP system, including designing and documenting accounting processes for data completeness and accuracy - Streamlining processes to improve efficiency in accounting and across the company In terms of tax and audit oversight, you will: - Assist with financial statement audits by providing support and process documentation as requested - Support the tax team with financial data to prepare tax returns as requested Required Skills and Abilities: - Curiosity, attention to detail, and ownership of tasks - Willingness to ask questions, challenge old ways of doing things, and be a leader - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and follow-up skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel Education and Experience: - 8-15 years of experience in US Accounting - Degree in accounting or accounting-related field required - Prior US GAAP accounting experience required - Experience creating/reviewing financial statements and how they relate preferred - Beneficial experience includes depreciation & placing assets in service, understanding debt and interest, amortization, auditing and reconciling account balances, financial statement controls, and process improvement - Experience with a cloud-based accounting software preferred; the company uses Sage Intacct,
