US Accountant – Fresher / Trainee

Job Summary
We are looking for a US Accountant – Fresher with strong theoretical knowledge of accounting principles and a willingness to learn practical US accounting under the guidance of senior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks or Xero under senior supervision
• Pass and review journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records
• Post invoices, expenses, and journal entries accurately and on time
• Support bank and credit card reconciliations and resolve basic differences
• Assist in month-end close activities and preparation of US GAAP–based financial reports
• Support 1099 filings, sales tax work, audit assistance, and compliance documentation
• Follow internal SOPs, documentation guidelines, and file-naming standards strictly
• Draft simple and professional emails and follow up for pending information as guided
• Maintain a pending-items list and escalate issues or delays to seniors on time
• Work closely with team members to meet timelines and quality expectations
• Complete daily timesheets, adhere to office timings and leave policies
• Report IT or system-related issues promptly
• Continuously upgrade knowledge of US accounting, Excel, and accounting software

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Strong theoretical knowledge of accounting principles (debit/credit, journal entries, GL, trial balance)
• Basic understanding of US accounting and US GAAP concepts
• B.Com, M.Com, CA Inter, or equivalent qualification
• Detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
