Urgently hiring an Accounting Controller

Role & responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Operations

• Lead and manage the back office offshore accounting department, ensuring efficient and accurate financial operations
• Serve as the company's primary technical accounting expert, providing guidance on complex accounting standards and interpretations
• Drive the delivery and execution of monthly financial reporting requirements across international business units
• Oversee and coordinate the company's external audit process, serving as primary liaison with audit firms

Systems & Process Management:

• Lead the planning, implementation, and optimization of ERP system initiatives
• Drive continuous process improvements and automation to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy
• Spearhead implementation of new accounting standards and ensure seamless adoption across the organization
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls and compliance frameworks
• Develop and implement standardized accounting procedures and policies
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to streamline financial processes and reduce closing cycles

Compliance & Risk Management

• Coordinate local tax compliance and reporting requirements across applicable jurisdictions
• Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and regulatory requirements
• Manage risk assessment processes and maintain effective internal control systems
• Support SOX compliance initiatives and documentation requirements.

Team Leadership & Development

• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders
• Provide technical training and guidance to team members on accounting standards and best practices

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 8-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• 3-5 years of Big 4 public accounting experience with audit focus
• Previous corporate controller experience or similar senior finance leadership role
• Demonstrated experience in services or software industry environments
• Proven track record working within global/multinational organizations
