Candidates from Contracting Companies are preferred. Responsible for studying reinforcement drawings and Bar Bending Schedules, overseeing cutting, bending, and preparation of reinforcement, guiding and checking fitters for correct placement, and ensuring effective wastage control with optimum utilization of cut pieces.
Study of reinforcement drawings and understand Bar Bending Schedule.
Prepare BBS in case required.
Understanding allowances for bends, loops in cutting length of reinforcement.
Coordinating with site engineer/ Sr Engineer for prioritizing the work in reinforcement yard.
Optimizing the use of available reinforcement lengths to reduce wastage .
Make use of cut pieces in Chairs and Spacers to minimize wastage.
Keep a check on material availability at site and requisition well in time as per work requirement.
Maintain good housekeeping in Reinforcement Yard.
Ensure use of PPEs by all workers in steel yard.
